It is imperative that we seek to enlarge our spiritual life on a daily basis. The answers to ALL our problems comes from God. When I have a problem it is important for me to not seek the answer to the problem, but to turn the problem over to God and then begin thinking only of God – praising him, worshiping him, thanking him throughout my entire day. I try with all my might to not turn my thoughts back to the problem. I’m not perfect and I do think back to the problem, and when that happens I immediately turn right back to God. Before I know it I have a sense of peace and my problem gets solved. Usually in a way I would have never guessed, and especially in a way I would not have approached it. Doing this increases and expands my relationship with God and my spiritual life is enhanced greatly. Another great thing I do is repeating a slogan or mantra throughout the day. I love the quote “Jesus is with me now and in the future. He alone will help me cope.” It works. Try it.

ASPECTS OF SPIRITUALITY

“Among A.A.’s there is still a vast amount of mix-up respecting what is
material and what is spiritual. I prefer to believe that it is all a matter of
motive. If we use our worldly possessions too selfishly, then we are
materialists. But if we share these possessions in
helpfulness to others, then the material aids the spiritual.”
