In the program of AA our time, not necessarily the quality of our sobriety is marked by chips that we receive. The chips kinda look like poker chips. Getting one means a hell of a lot to someone because it means you have made it a little farther in life without taking a drink. The program starts out with the white chip which is the surrender chip. The chip that means you have given up and booze no longer is working for you any longer and you are going to try AA instead. It’s actually different the months that come after that according to each club and how they have voted to do it, but generally after a white chip comes the 30 day, 60 day, 90 day, 6 month, 9 month, and then 1 year. My clubhouse actually did 2 month, 4 month, 5 month, 7 month, and 8 month, 10 month, and 11 month also .
